I have been a member of WA since 2014 – and still is in 2022 – and this review reflects why I choose to keep my membership.
I’ll put all the questions above plus any other I can think of as headlines and answer them as best I can. Bear over with me if you think I sometimes repeat myself, some questions are overlapping – but I think it often helps to ask questions in different ways. Short answer NO. I’ve seen a lot of scams during my time online and been scammed myself – who hasn’t? WA is not a scam. It is the real thing, but you have to put in the work.
Is Wealthy Affiliate legit?
Wealthy Affiliate has been around for over ten years, which gives the platform a lot of credibility. If a program has been able to grow and thrive as WA it says a ton about their legitimacy.
How long has Wealthy Affiliate been around?
WA was started in 2005 as a keyword list membership offering huge databases of high searched keywords for Pay-Per-Click campaigns and has grown year by year to what it is today: The internet’s best place to learn affiliate marketing.
Who are the persons behind Wealthy Affiliate?
The founders of WA are two Canadian guys: Carson & Kyle. They are still around and are both very active within the community helping the members and developing the program to be even better.

Is there any upsells when I upgrade at Wealthy Affiliate?
Nope. I’m sure you have experienced the same as me. You see something that looks interesting, is relatively cheap and you buy the product for let’s say 7 bucks. Then comes the next offer – for only 29 bucks you can grab this wonderful extension of the product, the product really doesn’t function properly if you don’t buy this. OK, you buy it and then comes the next upsell and on it goes. Wealthy Affiliate has NO upsells. What a relief!
Does Wealthy Affiliate give me false promises?
No. Wealthy Affiliate is honest. You get the truth. You get all the assets and help that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer, but YOU have to do the work. You have to fill your website with content yourself. No one else at WA does this for you, but you get all the help and advice you need.
Can I buy a domain name inside Wealthy Affiliate?
Yes, you can. WA has a very good and including offer for domain names. You get more for your money than at any other company I know of. Please inform me if I’m wrong 🙂
How do I build a website inside Wealthy Affiliate?
Building a website is extremely simple. The SiteRubix tool helps you build a website in a matter of minutes. You only have to follow the four steps below:

You are done. Easier than this I think is almost impossible.
What does Wealthy Affiliate cost?
A starter account is free and you can keep your free account for as long as you want. If you open a free starter account you will get an offer that expires after seven days. That offer is USD 19.00 for the first month as a premium member. If you choose to keep your premium membership after the first month it costs USD 47/month. You can also buy a yearly membership for USD 359/year which works out to about $29.92 per month. This is less than one dollar a day!
Can I earn anything promoting Wealthy Affiliate?
Yes, you can. WA has what is called Affiliate Bootcamp, which is a training that shows you how to promote WA and earn commissions if someone signs up with your affiliate link.
Are there any negative aspects to Wealthy Affiliate?
I don’t think so. But as I said before I have been a member for several years, so I am for sure a bit biased….
The only thing I can think of is that the site can seem a bit overwhelming when you first start out. Just give yourself some time and you will get a take on it all.
Conclusion
My verdict is that Wealthy Affiliate is well worth the effort it is to follow the teachings. My opinion is also that the premium membership is really valuable and something I warmly will recommend. My suggestion is that you start out with a free starter account and get to know the site. I’m sure you soon will experience that you have found a real jewel among online communities.
